Emanuel Jorge Botelho was born in Ponta Delgada, S. Miguel, Açores.  He has published various books of poetry and is also represented in many literary magazines and anthologies, including the International Magazine of Poetry published in Minas Gerais, Brazil.  Some of his poems have been translated into French and English.  He was the co-editor of the literary journal Aresta. He lives in Ponta Delgada.
