Filamentos existe porque as ilhas pertencem ao tempo presente.
Os Açores e a Madeira não são memórias fossilizadas no folclore, nem margens esquecidas da História. São lugares vivos de pensamento, imaginação e criação. Publicar as suas artes e letras não é apenas um gesto de preservação: é um gesto de presença. É afirmar que a cultura insular respira, interroga, responde — agora.

Acreditamos que a distância não empobrece o sentido.
Através de oceanos e gerações, a linguagem aprende a viajar. A poesia, a crítica, a arte visual e a narrativa não emigram aqui — circulam. Partem e regressam transformadas, trazendo consigo a inteligência da partida e a ética do regresso. O que atravessa o Atlântico não se perde: reformula-se.
