On October 25, at 9:00 p.m., the Ferreira da Silva Auditorium, in the Civil Parish of Água de Pau, will host the musical show “2 Hearts – The Viola that Unites Us,” an initiative of the INATEL Foundation, in partnership with the Lagoa City Council and the Violas da Terra Youth Association, which celebrates the culture, music, and intangible heritage of the Azores, with the viola as its central element.
The event will feature renowned performers and musical groups from the region, namely: the Água de Pau Rural Fraternity Philharmonic Society; the Toadas Duo, composed of César Carvalho on the viola and Rafael Carvalho on the viola da terra; Joana Ribeiro on the harp; the Raquel Dutra Quartet and the Tocadores de Viola da Lagoa, which includes members of the Grujola and Jovens Pauense groups.

With this initiative, the INATEL Foundation reinforces its mission to promote culture and value local traditions, creating spaces for meeting and sharing through music and the arts. The partnership with the Lagoa Municipal Council underlines the joint commitment of both entities to preserving and promoting Azorean cultural identity. It should be noted that admission to the show is free, subject to the capacity of the Ferreira da Silva Auditorium.
