Traditional Singing coming once again to the city of Ribeira Grande in São Miguel – Azores

On February 1st, the traditional Cantar às Estrelas parade will take place in Ribeira Grande, São Miguel island. This is the 31st edition.
Of the 33 groups taking part, six come from other municipalities and the parade will be opened by the traditional float, accompanied by the Filarmónica Triunfo, followed by the Ritmos de Santa Bárbara and the Charanga dos Bombeiros Voluntários da Ribeira Grande.
The event will be broadcast on the Ribeira Grande Town Hall’s social networks, starting at 19:30.
On Sunday, February 4, there will also be a dawn Mass at 5 o’clock at the Ribeira Grande Volunteer Fire Station and, at 12 noon, a Festive Mass in Honor of Our Lady of the Star, with the rite of the Blessing of the Candles, in the church of the Holy Spirit, broadcast on the social networks of the parish of Matriz.
Cantar às Estrelas is an annual cultural event that brings together thousands of people in Ribeira Grande in honor of Our Lady of the Star.
