Aedh Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven

William Butler Yeats

Had I the heavens’ embroidered cloths,

Enwrought with golden and silver light,

The blue and the dim and the dark cloths

Of night and light and the half light,

I would spread the cloths under your feet:

But I, being poor, have only my dreams;

I have spread my dreams under your feet;

Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

ELE DESEJA A FÁBRICA DO FIRMAMENTO

W.B. Yeats traduzido por RoseAngelina Baptista

Tivesse eu, do paraíso a fazenda

urdida com a luz do ouro e prata,

o azul e vago dos tecidos negros

da noite, luz e meia-luz,

eu os estenderia sob seus pés:

mas, sendo pobre, apenas sonhos tenho.

Estendi meus sonhos sob os seus pés;

então ande suave, pois pisa em meus sonhos.
