INSULAR IDADE
De tanto me ostracizar, urdi um perolar de jade.
De tanto me afogar, criei uma ilhamar.
De tanto me sufocar, fiei leve algodoar.
De tanto me queimar teci minha insular idade.
ISLANDED
From long exile, I spun a pearl of jade.
From drowning’s pull, I shaped a brackish bay.
From howling winds, I raised Aeolic blades.
From scorching fire, I stitched my islanded age.
Vision
To illuminate the poetic threads that bind Portugal, Africa, Brazil, and their diasporas into a shared fabric of memory, resilience, and creation. Through Filamentos, poetry becomes a vessel that carries ancestral voices across oceans, sustaining cultural identities while opening new horizons of belonging.
