70xArte – Fragments of a collection

The Instituto Açoriano de Cultura will open the exhibition “70XArte – Fragmentos de uma coleção” (70XArte – Fragments of a collection) on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in its gallery in Angra do Heroísmo, which aims to be “a simple collection of some of the works that have been part of the many exhibitions held”.

The exhibition, which is part of the 70th anniversary celebrations of the Azorean Institute of Culture, presents a selection of 70 works by Portuguese artists, bringing together serigraphs, lithographs, photographs, oil paintings, acrylics and other mixed techniques, “whose vast authorial enumeration attests to the contemporaneity and creativity of the exhibitions from which they originated”.

The exhibition, which runs until September 18, is curated by João Mateus Gomes, who has a degree in Art History.
