The group exhibition of the Azores Fringe International Arts Festival, featuring works by six artists, continues until the end of June at the Madalena Library Auditorium.
From drawings by British artist Judy Rodrigues to installations by Portuguese artist Tiago Resende, the cornucopia of works is available to view during office hours.
“Exhibiting at the Azores Fringe Festival is a unique opportunity to share my work in a context of creative freedom, where diversity and openness to the unexpected feed the constant dialogue between intention and interpretation, between creation and the public, challenging me and allowing the work to grow in new directions,” noted the artist FRANCzero, who here presents ‘Convergences’, an exhibition in which the artist relinquished authorial control and gave himself over to the suggestions of others: theme, technique, scale and even an abstract idea. “Each work is born out of a dialog between the expectations of others and personal expression, revealing an artistic practice in constant reinvention,” added FRANCzero.

Helena Amaral’s Sorrisos de Pedra, José Elmiro Silva’s photography, and Sónia Terra’s illustrations, the originals for Diana Zimbron’s book “A Poção da Felicidade”, are also featured in this exhibition.
The program of the Azores Fringe Festival jumps around the islands of the Azores until June 30. Follow via Facebook: AzoresFringeFestival.
