The Natália Correia Literary Prize was created to encourage and support the development of the literary arts, foster creativity, and encourage a taste for reading and writing.
Last year, the literary genre in the competition was Narrative Fiction, and the jury decided to award the prize to “Caindo de mais alto” by João Albano Fernandes and an Honorable Mention to “Esperanças e Desilusões” by Luís Corredoura.
Bruma Publications published the translation of the first-place winner and the first honorary mention. We are in the process of translating another poetry book that won this prestigious prize as of our Cátedra Natália Correia at California State University, Fresno.
