Last night, Terry Costa, founder and artistic director of MiratecArts, presented a lecture at the Arts & Letters Club of Toronto, Canada.
The Club’s promotion described the event as: “A fascinating journey through 50 years of life and artistic work. From his tours of Canada as a performance artist to his work as a director and producer of theater, music and other arts, including his move to Pico Island in the Azores, Terry Costa’s life is filled with daring creativity and cultural connections that link several countries. His passion for the arts has transformed an island into a thriving center for international artistic collaboration and exploration. This presentation is an inspiring testament to the power of art to unite worlds and enrich communities.”
The Arts & Letters Club of Toronto is for artists and connoisseurs. It is located in a historic building in the heart of Canada’s largest city and celebrates the personal connection and creativity of excellence in the arts in Canada and of Canadians in constant evolution.

For the first time since its founding in 1908, the Club presented a Portuguese-themed evening and invited Terry Costa to speak.
At the end of the evening, the Arts & Letters Club of Toronto awarded Terry Costa the title of Honorary Member. “I thank everyone, from the invitation to the organization of this event,” said Terry Costa. “From the chef who was inspired by traditional Portuguese dishes to the management of this house and club, for the warm welcome and the sensitivity of bringing part of my ancestral culture to this magnificent building filled with art and a lot of history. I’m touched by the value and appreciation they give to the work I do around the world, encouraging me to continue following my passions.”
