As part of Valentine’s Day, the Book Store Letras Lavadas in Ponta Delgada is promoting the ‘blind date with a book’ initiative until February 15

The initiative consists of choosing a book using keywords that will give the reader a glimpse of what to expect from it, without having access to the title, cover, and synopsis, says a press release from Letras Lavadas, explaining that the books, “carefully selected by the Letras Lavadas team, will be wrapped in brown paper and sisal, and can cover themes as diverse as romance, thriller, personal and spiritual development, self-help, among others.

Readers must choose the book that best meets the tastes and expectations of their loved ones.

In addition to this initiative, Letras Lavadas will distribute love letters throughout the historic center of Ponta Delgada, inviting people to look for them and give them to their better half, with the aim of “spreading the love.”
