
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the two screens in Lajes do Pico will show five foreign films. All screenings start at 9 p.m., have English subtitles, and are free of admission.
On Tuesdays in the Auditorium of the Whalers’ Museum, there’s plenty of adventure in the mountains of the world. It all starts on January 14 with the charismatic Bernhard Braun, already known to the picaresque public for his films in recent years. This time, the Bavarian adventurer will be giving lessons in skiing. The program includes five films produced in Austria, entitled “From Austria with Love.” On the evening of the 21st, the program is dedicated to Spanish productions, and on January 28th, to close the Montanha Pico Festival program in this space, a trip around the world. From the USA to Italy, Iran to India, 9 short films present an eclectic panorama of mountain culture.
