NATÁLIA CORREIA’S Centennial

On November 24 and 25, at 9pm, the Angra do Heroísmo Museum will host an immersive show as part of the celebrations for the 100th anniversary of Natália Correia’s birth.
“O Botequim,” a double session with an immersive show, recreates the atmosphere of this iconic bar in Lisbon’s Largo da Graça.
In this place, everyone is invited to share a table with the personalities who frequented this circle and fought for democracy and freedom.

This is the second part of an artistic residency between the groups from the theater companies Cães do Mar and Trigo Limpos Teatro ACERT.
It is coordinated by Peter Cann, playwright and resident director of the Cães do Mar company.
The first part of this artistic residency took place in May this year in Tondela, under the artistic coordination of José Rui Martins.

Cães do Mar, based in Angra do Heroísmo, is committed to creating theater and dance shows that can appeal to the island’s identity memory.
At the same time, it aims to have a resonance beyond the Azores through a universalist and contemporary language.
It was formed in 2016 and officially became an association in 2017.
Trigo Limpos Teatro ACERT was founded in 1976 and is based in Tondela.
It is guided by the challenge of encouraging artistic creation, the circulation of shows, training, and the organization of cultural events in the country’s interior.
This project is funded by Dgartes, the Regional Directorate for Cultural Affairs, and Angra do Heroísmo City Council.
