Presided by the mayor of Praia da Vitória, Vania Ferreira, and with an eloquent presentation by José Andrade, a well-known Azorean author who has recently been serving as Regional Director of the Communities, Into the Azorean Sea was officially launched in Terceira island. A collaboration between Bruma Publications from PBBI-Fresno State and Letras Lavadas, this book is available on both sides of the Atlantic. It is used as part of the COurse The Azores Islands: History, Culture, and Literature at California State University, Fresno.

A lovely evening of poetry, cultural exchanges with the Diaspora, and the expression of Azoreanness.
During the same event, the new book by José Andrade, Transatlântico: As Migrações nos Açores, was presented by Diniz Borges, who affirmed the importance of the 50 essays in this book as fifty bridges between the Azores and its Diaspora.
