Gaspar Frutuoso Foundation signs agreement with Caixa de Crédito Agrícola Mútuo dos Açores

The Gaspar Frutuoso Foundation (FGF) of the University of the Azores (UAc) signed a memorandum of understanding with Caixa de Crédito Agrícola Mútuo dos Açores (CCAM) to award a scientific merit prize on October 31, at the university campus in Ponta Delgada.
The scientific merit award will recognize, annually, a scientific article from all of UAc’s scientific areas, set out in a call for proposals, which describes the results of research carried out by a UAc and FGF lecturer or researcher.
The formal signing was carried out by the President of the FGF, José Noronha Rodrigues, the President of CCAM, António Manuel Melo Gomes de Sousa, and the administrator of CCAM, Ana Sofia Medeiros Cordeiro. The speakers then said a few words about the ceremony, and the Rector of the University of the Azores, Susana Mira Leal, closed the ceremony.
Also present were the former Rector and founder of the FGF, Vasco Garcia, and members of the FGF’s Board of Directors, Vítor Gonçalves and Carla Ramalho, FGF employees, and other guests.
