
The 39th edition of the Maré de Agosto festival, which will take place on the 24th, 25th, and 26th, at Formosa Beach, on the island of Santa Maria, in the Azores, will feature names like Gisela João, Mellow Mood, and Evan Hatfield.
According to the organization, the festival program also includes concerts by Dirtyloops, Eugénia Contente Trio, Zanova, Francisco, el Hombre, Latenight, Irma, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Carmen Souza, The Redbeds and Ferro Gaita.
The Maré de Agosto Cultural Association, which organizes the event, said in a statement released today that, in addition to the concerts, the Maré de Agosto festival also includes several activities over the three days, such as a Beach Volleyball Tournament, Zumba, cross-training, a walking trail and a painting exhibition by artist Bel Ourêlo.

The festival begins on August 24, a Thursday, with a concert by Irma, followed by the national band The Redbeds and performances by Francisco, el Hombre, and Evan Hatfield.
On the second day, August 25, the first concert, at 10 pm, is by the national trio Eugénia Contente, followed by the Portuguese Gisela João, Mellow Mood, and the national DJ Zanova.
The poster of the last day, Saturday, begins with a show by Carmen Souza and ends with the performance of the national band Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.
The last night of the Maré de Agosto Festival also includes Ferro Gaita and Dirty Loops concerts.

As in the previous edition, the organization says that Latenight will once again be the resident DJ for the 39th edition of the festival.
Tickets for daily access to the festival grounds cost 10 euros for members of the Maré de Agosto Cultural Association and 20 euros for non-members.
The “festival pack” is also available and costs 25 euros for members and 50 euros for non-members.
According to the organization of the festival, which has Eduardo Arruda as director, tickets are already available online at BOL and at physical sales points (RIAC – Integrated Citizen Support Network, Bestravel agencies in Ponta Delgada, Angra do Heróismo and Graciosa, Repsol in Vila do Porto and Loja da Maré).
